Астрофизик Стивен Хокинг записал кавер-версию песни комик-группы "Монти Пайтон" Galaxy Song, передает Lenta.ru со ссылкой на Digital Spy.
Новая версия песни, впервые прозвучавшей в фильме "Смысл жизни по Монти Пайтону" 1983 года, была записана специально для десяти прошлогодних лондонских концертов воссоединившихся участников "Монти Пайтон". Во время шоу Хокинг появлялся на видео, чтобы отмести обвинения физика Брайана Кокса в ненаучном характере Galaxy Song, после чего звучал его кавер этой песни.
Новое видео Galaxy Song включает в себя бэкстейдж-съемки из гримерок пятерых участников "Монти Пайтон", записанные во время прошлогодних концертов, а также кадры с Хокингом, пересекающим космос на своем кресле-коляске.
Galaxy Song также входила в два музыкальных альбома, записанных "Монти Пайтон": Monty Python Sings 1989 года и Monty Python Sings (Again) 2014 года.
Стивен Хокинг — физик-теоретик, популяризатор науки, один из основоположников квантовой космологии. Хокинг страдает от бокового амиатрофического склероза, лишившего ученого способности двигаться и говорить без посторонней помощи.
