Астрофізик Стівен Хокінг записав кавер-версію пісні комік-групи "Монті Пайтон" Galaxy Song, передає Lenta.ru з посиланням на Digital Spy.
Нова версія пісні, вперше прозвучала у фільмі "Сенс життя по Монті Пайтону" 1983, була записана спеціально для десяти торішніх лондонських концертів возз'єднаних учасників "Монті Пайтон". Під час шоу Хокінг з'являвся на відео, щоб відмести звинувачення фізика Брайана Кокса в ненауковому характері Galaxy Song, після чого звучав його кавер цієї пісні.
Нове відео Galaxy Song включає в себе бекстейдж-зйомки із гримерок п'ятьох учасників "Монті Пайтон", записані під час минулорічних концертів, а також кадри з Хокінгом, які перетинають космос на своєму кріслі-колясці.
Galaxy Song також входила в два музичні альбоми, записаних "Монті Пайтон": Monty Python Sings 1989 року і Monty Python Sings (Again) 2014 року.
Стівен Хокінг – фізик-теоретик, популяризатор науки, один з основоположників квантової космології. Хокінг страждає від бокового аміатрофіческого склерозу, що позбавив вченого здатності рухатися і говорити без сторонньої допомоги.
